Whelan's was packed Thursday December 18 as fans flocked to see MayKay's headliner on the main stage.

Steve Ón 'Dings opened the night with a great acoustic performance that complemented MayKay's style and repertoire very well.

Three words I would use to describe MayKay's performance at Whelan's last week are passionate, vulnerable, and fun. The Dublin-based artist sold out Whelan's main room and provided the cheering fans with nothing short of a great performance. Her extensive vocal range and her witty banter enraptured the crowd.

MayKay's incredible band, comprised of Cal McAdam, Ian McFarlane, Luke Reilly, and Oisín Leahy Furlong, supported her with unreal skill and talent and created a booming atmosphere throughout the night. MayKay also brought out artist Ailbhe Reddy to sing a couple of beautiful songs.
